I think that Barbara helped me a lot to overcome my stuttering. I had a very mild case but, still, with Barbara’s help, it took only about 2 ½ months for me to overcome my problem. I am really glad that my pediatrician recommended her, and I really liked working with her. I don’t think that there is a better speech pathologist in Los Angeles! -Andy P.

Our daughter Rebecca was in speech therapy for 2 years. Her experience was only positive which made it a pleasure for us as well. We watched her work as hard as a little person could at the Speech Center and she never knew how hard at work she actually was, Barbara made our experience smooth and successful. Before I came to Speech Therapy, my voice sounded “like an old woman” – very hoarse and coming from the back of my throat. It took all my energy to talk, and in my job as a travel agent and manager I felt exhausted at night. After four months of Speech Therapy with Barbara Mangels I am now able to speak correctly with just the right pitch in my voice. I feel more energetic and have gained more self confidence. Barbara was wonderful with our daughter, Nicole, age 9. She worked with Nicole patiently and successfully, through tongue thrust therapy.
